During our residency and performance at the Ramallah Contemporary Dance Festival we will have the amazing opportunity to work with two Palestinian artists! Their names are Hamza Abu Ayyash & Sa’ed Omar. We asked them to partake in an interview so that you, our audience, could meet the collaborating artists who are essential to Interlope’s current project, “20 main dans la nuit”.
An impending riot has been avoided thanks to the technical genius of Guillaume Bazire. The members of Interlope were prepared to jam sledgehammers into their computers after running into a barrage of technical difficulties halfway through a meeting. Guillaume arrived with but a moment to spare and quickly diffused the situation. To him, they owe their sanity.
Alex(andre): An inexhaustible source of puns, it will snow in Hell before this flood of creativity stops.
Hugo: Even in pajamas, at an advanced state of starvation, he would remain a confident and enthusiastic master of music.
A bucket of clown, a handful of team player and a whole lot of sweetheart.
Ze (Zen)+ Ni (Ninja) + Co (Committed) compose this complex molecule.
There is a stroke of irreproachable to the one that is sure to survive the apocalypse.
A splash of surprising and a pinch of exotic to compliment this honest performer.
There is a sense of cunningness and strength to Bettina the Lionheart.
Versatility and Insightfulness stand out on the palette of this little bomb.
Welcome to Interlope’s Blog!
We are new to the blogging realm and can’t wait to share with you the inner workings of Interlope. For the next two months, our posts will be related to our preparations for traveling to Ramallah, a city in the West Bank Palestine. Some of the posts we have planned include: a look at our creative process, details on our weekly training sessions and most importantly, a look at the artists who make up this team. Once we have arrived in Ramallah, the other members of our group will begin to write their own posts sharing with you their experiences.
A rainbow of idealism, entrepreneurship and quirkiness.
